On Posture: Exercising the Trapezius

As a further follow-up to my talk back in August, Posture for Engineers, I wanted to provide a more thorough explanation of the first exercise I talked about: the exercise for the trapezius muscle (mid-back).

So here’s a video of me doing that exercise, with an exquisite voice-over…

I repeat that sequence 3 times each morning, followed by 3 or 4 rounds of Cat/Cow (or Cow/Cat as it were):

to stretch out the mid-back properly.

Then you can finish with a 3 to 5 breaths in Child’s Pose:
